Tarangire Safari lodge

In our eyes the best location in Tarangire N.P – Built on top of a high bluff with a breathtaking panorama over the plains and the Tarangire River. A favorite watering place, which attracts impressive numbers and variety of game.

The scene unfolds before you while lounging on the outdoor patio, allowing you to appreciate Tarangire’s diverse wildlife without ever leaving the lodge. The central dinning room is an impressive high thatched roof  building with open-sides the design allows an uninterrupted view of the landscape and wildlife below.

Each of the 35 double tents come complete with electricity, comfortable beds, running water, a flush toilet, and a solar heated shower. There are also four bungalows made of stone with thatched roofs and en suite bathrooms, which are perfect for triples and families.

Tarangire river camp

This permanent luxury camp is located just put side the park gate of Tarangire National Park. It is possible to conduct early morning walking safaris before breakfast and game drive of the Tarangire.

The camp overlooks the Tarangire River and offers stunning views of the vast plains across the park, Lake Manyara, the Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro highlands. Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro can be seen in clear days.

Ten spacious luxury tents are complete with running water including attached toilet and hot water showers. 220v solar power is available 24 hours a day. Meals are served in the dinning banda with central Baobab tree growing straight out of the roof..

Tarangire Sopa lodge

The Tarangire Sopa lodge is located a short distance inside the park gates, one would think it is a hyrax sanctuary as these small mammals dart from every corner. Wildlife is easily viewed from the terrace that opens out from the lounge bar set up.

It offers 75 well furnished rooms are located in a resort type set up, with a concrete walk ways leading to swimming pool and gardened area. Rooms are fully air-conditioned. Conference facilities available.

Maramboi Tented Camp


Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai a sacred mountain to the Maasai.

10 spacious tents built on ample wooden decks offer en-suite facilities and private veranda with 24 hours 220V electric lighting.

Meals are served in the mess tent located in the centre of the camp or under the breathtaking starlit sky and a central lounge area provides ample space for relaxatoin, as well as a small library.

Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge

Nestled on the banks of the Tarangire river, only 5 km’s from the main gate, Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge offers 21 luxury en-suite tents, each with a unique theme with beautifully handcrafted furniture and uniquely built animal shaped baths as well as showers. Two of these tents are specially constructed with inter-connecting doors and a common verandah to cater for a family unit of up to 8.

A swimming pool with pool-side bar offers relaxation after a long day on safari. Dining is server in the Olevolos Restaurant that boasts of wonderful international & local dishes after which you can end the day next to a huge campfire under a serene starlit sky as resident Maasai dancers complete the scene.

Boundary Hill Tarangire

Boundary Hill Lodge, Tanzania’s newest wildlife experience is located high above the savannah where agama lizards and the red flowers of aloe vera provide a vivid and eye-catching contrast to herbs, grasses and bare rocks.

Literally perched on the edge of Tarangire National Park, among trees and rock outcrops, the lodge is nestled into the cliffs and huge granite slabs. Built of natural materials, predominantly local stone, wood and burnt brick, Boundary Hill Lodge offers outstanding views over the Silale and Gosuwa swamps, where elephant and buffalo graze among the acacia and baobab trees beneath the vastness of Africa’s sky.

Mawe Ninga Tented Camp

Situated on top of a kopje, in the west of Tarangire National Park, Mawe Ninga Tented Camp looks out over the soda lake of Lake Burungi, with Lake Manyara in the far distance. The best vista is across the small central bridge to the dramatic campfire, sited on the edge of a large rounded boulder.

Mawe Ninga’s 12 canvas tents are raised on high wooden decks. The tents are internally divided to create a bedroom and bathroom/dressing area, and facilities are very simple: log beds, a coat stand, small lamps, a small canvas shower and chemical toilet.
